Qatar Airways has announced new families of fares to offer its customers “greater flexibility, choice and simplicity” as well as more incentives for travelers to book directly with the airline.
Business class fares will now be categorized as classic, comfort or elite while economy class fares will be classic, convenience or comfort.
Families purchasing the highest fares will be able to make free, unlimited changes to their travel dates and can also get refunds.
Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways’ group chief executive said: “Our new fare families are designed to offer greater simplicity, choice, and flexibility to our passengers and further our ambition to offer a best-in-class retail experience. With these new categorizations, it is very clear to the customer what they are buying – there are no hidden fees or additional charges. We are also giving our valued Privilege Club members the opportunity to earn more Qmiles with us to unlock additional benefits or tier upgrades.”
The option to exchange tickets for a future travel voucher and discounts of up to 40 per cent at Qatar Duty Free retail and food and beverage outlets at Hamad International Airport, has also been offered to passengers who book directly.
